First
of all you will need to get yourself a 3d application in order to
create, animate, and render your work. For this tutorial we will use
Blender, a capable and most importantly Free application.

getting content and importing it

Now let's get a 3D object to import.

Chair click

Import Object |
|
Once you've installed Blender, open it to
import the object.
First, delete the selected cube. |

|
Go to File,
Import,
then Lightwave
(.lwo)
(There are many types of formats
of objects. We are using .lwo for this tutorial. )
.lwo
is a Lightwave 3D format. Other popular formats include Maya's .obj and
3D Max's .3ds |

Type in the path to the .lwo
object. Or navigate to the object using the window below.
Once object is located, click the Import .lwo
button on the right. |
 |

|
You will now see the top view of
your object in the 3D View window. |
 |
|
|
|
|

Render
Scene |
|
To see the object you now must
"render" the scene. Go to Render
and then to Render
Current Frame. |

|

Save
Image |
|
Save your rendered image by
going to File
then Save
Rendered Image.
Select where you want it saved, give it a name, and you have made your
first 3D graphic. |
